The Center for Theology, Religious Studies and Ethics (CTRSE) and the Research Center for Natural and Applied Sciences (RCNAS) invite you to their Forum on Science and Faith on February 20, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Thomas Aquinas Research Complex Auditorium.

The event aims to highlight the intersection between science and faith, demonstrating how these two fields complement and enrich one another.
The invited speakers for this forum will offer knowledge from natural sciences, theology, philosophy, and ethics.
National Scientist Rev. fr. Bienvenido F. Nebres S.J., PhD will lecture on “Encounters: Science and Faith, Understanding and Meaning”.
Archbishop of Cagayan de Oro Jose A. Cabantan, D.D., will lecture on “Faith and Science: A Personal Account and Theological Reflection”.
Academician Jaime C. Montoya, PhD will lecture on “Navigating Relationships through the Prism of Faith and Health Sciences”.
Dominican Molecular Biologist Rev. fr. Nicanor Pier Giorgio R. Austriaco, O.P., PhD will offer his insights on “When did Adam Appear in Evolutionary History?”
Fr. Felix Delos Reyes, O.P., PhD will discuss “Philosophy as the Foundation of Other Sciences: Revisiting the Discourse of the Thomasian Thomist Norberto del Prado, O.P. (1852-1918)”.
Prof. Jove Jim S. Aguas, PhD will share his insights on the life of “St. Albert the Great as the Universal Doctor and his Relevance to Science”.
Lastly, Prof. Marciana Agnes G. Ponsaran, PhD will talk about “Rhetoric and Reticence: Vision and Values in Nanotechnology”.
