- The completed abstract [maximum 500 words cover items 3-8 below]. Abstracts will be included in the convention proceedings and must be structured using the headings below.
- Formatting
- For the publication of abstracts on the conference website, the formatting will be retained as submitted, with fewer editing adjustments. Significant divergence from the specified standard will cause author amendment. Submissions not adhering to the standard abstract format risk being rejected without review.
- Each abstract must include the purpose of the study, a concise description of the methods employed, a summary of the data collected, and a statement of the conclusions. Abstracts must be self-contained summaries of the project. It cannot state, “The results will be discussed.” The significance of results and general principles should be highlighted in presentations.

The submitter will be requested to certify that the presenting author has read and understands the basic information and the standards they must meet when completing the online submission procedure.
Scientific Review Process
The Scientific Review Committee comprises scientists with formal research training and expertise in relevant fields. The panel has been chosen to represent a variety of clinical and scientific disciplines.
Two members of the review panel will evaluate each abstract. Abstracts must be sufficiently understandable.
The selection will be based on scientific relevance, supported clinical or laboratory evidence, hypothesis relevance, implications for applied methods, and relevance to practice.
If an abstract is accepted, the Scientific Review Committee will decide whether it will be presented orally or as a poster. Accepted abstracts will be published on the conference website and in the Philippine Journal of Allied Health Sciences conference proceedings.
The updated guideline was adapted from the DOST-MMHRDC and World Physiotherapy research oral and poster presentation guidelines.
