A seasoned corporate law and banking lawyer with more than 30 years of experience, Atty. Nilo Divina has been equally active with his role in the academe as the current dean of the 国产吃瓜黑料一区二区Faculty of Civil Law. He is also a professor at the UP College of Law handling Commercial Law Review.
From being a consistent scholar and an active student leader in his university days, Atty. Divina continued to display excellence during his practice as the executive vice president, general counsel, and corporate secretary of Equitable PCI Bank. He also served as the general manager and executive adviser to the Board and corporate secretary of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office.
In 2006, he established DivinaLaw and made it one of the country’s biggest law firms with a wide clientele base that includes banks, financial institutions, top corporations, and various publicly and privately owned entities. He continues to make his contributions to the legal community through publications. Atty. Divina has authored 5 books on Commercial Law and has continuously written articles for his column at the Daily Tribune called “A Dose of Law” for three years.
Throughout his career as an academician, practicing lawyer, and managing partner, Atty. Divina was able to garner numerous awards under his belt. In 2021, he was named the Managing Partner of the Year at the Asian Legal Business Philippine Law Awards and the Philippine Client Choice Lawyer by the Asian Legal Business. He was labeled as one of the 500 Leading Lawyers in 2017 by the International Finance and Law Magazine. Atty. Divina has also been consistently included in Asia Business Law Journal’s Top 100 Lawyers in the Philippines for three consecutive years since 2018.
