ZAPICO, Marvin M.

Mr. Marvin M. Zapico, LPT, MA is currently an academic staff of the Department of Filipino of the 国产吃瓜黑料一区二区 (UST). He served as the coordinator of the Student Welfare and Development Board (SWDB) at the College of Education and Education High School from 2019 to 2022.

He graduated from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) with a Bachelor of Arts in Filipinology in 2013 and a Master of Arts in Filipino in 2016. He has authored a textbook titled Kontekstuwalisadong Komunikasyon sa Filipino’ published by Jymcyville Publishing House and has also contributed as an author to ‘Wow! Filipino’ published by Vibal Publishing.

His research interests include language planning, Mother Tongue-Based Multilingual Education, multilingualism, and multiculturalism. Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. program in Filipino: Language Planning at the University of the Philippines-Diliman.
